Introduction:

Alhambra Home Care is a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly serving individual with Developmental Disabilities from 60 years of age and above.  The facility is licensed by the Community Care Licensing for 6 non-ambulatory and is a Service Level3 vendorized by the Golden Gate Regional Center.  

The facility has 2,400 SQ foot of living space, situated on a 5,500 SqFt flat/level lot surrounded by a fence. The facility is able to provide accomodations up to six consumers; 2 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms.

Alhambra Home Care is committed to meet the needs of the elderly with developmental disabilities, including physical, emotional, and social.  Our goal is to create a respectful and safe living in a structured and clean environment that promotes opportunities for individual friendships, enjoyment, education, good health, serenity and happiness inside the home and out in the community.  We will provide the highest quality of life, choices, recognize dignity, self-esteem, and above all the desire in all of us to feel loved.

Statement of Purpose

Alhambra Home Cares' philosophy is elderly with developmental disabilities have the “CHOICE” where to live in the community, in a home of their choice, and to be involved in activities of their own choosing. 

While supporting the elderly within a communal living setting, our program seeks “NORMALIZATION” by providing residents with the opportunity to plan and participate in activities which reflect each individual’s interest, preferences in education, employment, and leisure, and life’s goals to pursuit their own personal future. 

Alhambra Home Care empowers consumer by encouraging them to participate in the development of their Individual Program Plan (IPP) including the planning and selection of services and support.   Our staff endeavors to treat the consumers with “dignity and respects” and work with residents while providing them the daily support and training they need to overcome challenges associated with their disabilities.

It is located at 498 Alhambra Road, South San Francisco, CA 94080 right behind the California Golf Course.  It is nearby Peninsula Hospital , Kaiser, Seton Medical Center and fifteen minutes drive from Janet Pomeroy. Center
